I am an environmental and development economist on the faculty at Wellesley College, which I joined in July 2011.

I received my Ph.D. in May 2009 from the Department of Economics at Yale University, where I worked under the supervision of Mark Rosenzweig, Chris Udry and Mushfiq Mobarak. Prior to Wellesley, I worked as an assistant professor at Wesleyan University and as a postdoctoral fellow in the Sustainability Science Program at Harvard's Center for International Development. I was also a research fellow at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard University between 2010 and 2012.

My research focuses primarily on the environmental challenges facing decision makers in developed and developing countries. In particular, I am interested in understanding the economic causes of and responses to water scarcity.
